Saturday May 27, 2023 Marin Ride

Marin Ride - Saturday May 27th - 8:45am meetup, 9am roll time

What: This week we'll be riding a Platform Bridge Loop.  From Point Richmond, the route is ~60 miles with ~2800 ft of climbing. We'll head across the RSR Bridge and then north through San Rafael to Lucas Valley. We'll head west, over Big Rock, and turn south when we reach Platform Bridge. We'll take the Cross Marin Trail through Samuel P Taylor and then Sir Francis Drake to Fairfax before winding back through San Rafael and back over the RSR. Coffee stop will be at Pump outside Lagunitas. Regroups will most likely be at Big Rock Market, just over Big Rock climb, Start of Cross Marin Trail, Coffee, and Fairfax. Ride pace for group will be 17-19 mph average with faster bursts on some sections and for group will be 15-17 mph average and group will be 13-15 mph and you should be comfortable with group riding and have read and be familiar the BBC Group Ride Guidelines. Ride leaders will be Paul Chuck  (A) and KC (B) and Kim Pham (C) this week.

Where/When: Meeting this Saturday at 8:45am outside Maya Taqueria at Pt Richmond (plenty of parking available if you're driving). We'll roll from Point Richmond at 9am sharp. C group will depart 5 minutes after and groups and will have its own regroups along the route.

Who: You! This ride is aimed at riders who are comfortable with group riding and able to stay with the group of their choice at the ride pace.
