Building the Future: Kids Clinic at Berkeley Streets Race

One of the most meaningful parts of the Berkeley Streets Race wasn’t just what happened on the course. It was what happened off it.

The kids clinic was something special.

You could see it right away, kids showing up excited, learning new skills, getting more comfortable on the bike, and just having fun. For many of them, this was their first time being part of something like this. That matters.

This is how the next generation gets started.

Thank you Trek for hosting it

More Than Just a Race

The Berkeley Streets Race has always been about more than competition. It’s about creating space for the community, where riders of all levels, and all ages, can be part of it.

The kids clinic captured that perfectly.

No pressure. No expectations. Just learning, riding, and building confidence.

Then seeing some of those same kids line up for the kids race—full effort, big smiles, proud parents on the sidelines—that’s what it’s all about.

Thank You to Those Who Made It Happen

This doesn’t happen without support.

A huge thank you to Trek for helping bring the kids’ clinic to life. Your support made it possible to create an experience that these kids will remember and hopefully build on.

Thank you to the City of Berkeley for allowing us to host this event and continue building something that gives back to the community.

And to the residents, thank you for your patience, your support, and for welcoming us into your neighborhood. Events like this only work because of you.

Built for Something Bigger

Berkeley Omnium is a nonprofit event, and everything we do is focused on growing the sport and supporting the next generation.

The kids clinic is a big part of that.

It’s not just about one day. It’s about creating a pathway. Giving kids a chance to get on the bike, feel included, and see what’s possible.

Thank You

To everyone who helped make this event happen, thank you.

To the kids who showed up and gave it a try, keep riding.
To the parents and families, thank you for supporting them.
To the partners and community, this only works because of you.

We’re just getting started.
