Marin Ride HEADS EAST - Saturday June 10th - 8:15am meetup, 8:30am roll time
EARLIER THAN NORMAL DEPARTURE FROM BERKELEY
What: This week we’ll be going on a Martinez to Moraga loop, in search of more wildflowers and maybe some Faithful riders! From Vine Street Peet’s ~72 miles with ~5300 ft of climbing.
We’ll head north from Peet's on the flats through Richmond and San Pablo before cutting over on Castro Ranch and circling up through Pinole, Hercules, Rodeo, and Crockett before heading down Carquinez Scenic Drive into Martinez. After coffee, we'll head south through Lafayette and Moraga before climbing up to the ridge line on Pinehurst and Redwood. The loop will finish on Skyline and Grizzly before descending Euclid back to Peet's.
There will be plenty of regroups and rest stops and we will announce them as we go. Mid-ride coffee/food stop will be at States Coffee in Martinez, mile 32.5.
Ride pace for A group will be 16-18 mph average with faster bursts on some sectionsm, for B group will be 13-15 mph average, and for C group will be 12-14 mph average. You should be comfortable with group riding and have read and be familiar the BBC Group Ride Guidelines. Ride leaders will be Morgan Grriffin (A) and KC (C) and TBD (C) this week.

Where/When: Meeting this Saturday at 8:15am at Vine Street Peet’s. We’ll roll at 8:30am sharp.
