Marin Ride - Saturday September 9th - 8:45am meetup, 9am roll time
What: This week we’ll be riding a shorter Paradise Loop to taper for Unfondo by heading out over the RSR Bridge heading south through Larkspur and Corte Madera over Chapman then around through Strawberry and Belvedere (including the Golden Gate Ave climb - missing from the Strava) before reaching Tiburon. After a stop in Tiburon for Coffee at Caffe Acri, we’ll roll on Paradise back past the mall to Larkspur before cutting over to Anderson through the tunnel and crossing back over the RSR Bridge! From Point Richmond, the route is ~42 miles with ~2000 ft of climbing (not including GG Ave). We’ll regroup at the top of Chapman and in Tiburon. Ride pace for A group will be 17-19 mph average with faster bursts on some sections and for B group will be 15-17 mph average and C group will be 13-15 mph and you should be comfortable with group riding and have read and be familiar the BBC Group Ride Guidelines. Ride leaders will be Alex (A) and KC (B) and TBD (C) this week.
Where/When: Meeting this Saturday at 8:45am outside Maya Taqueria at Pt Richmond (plenty of parking available if you’re driving). We’ll roll from Point Richmond at 9am sharp.
Who: You! This ride is aimed at riders who are comfortable with group riding and able to stay with the group of their choice at the ride pace.
Non-members are welcome to join up to three official Berkeley Bike Club rides, but must agree to our waiver before each ride. After three rides, we ask that you join the club to continue attending rides (hopefully it’s an easy decision!).
