Marin Ride - Saturday December 16th - 8:30am and 9:30am roll times
What: This week we’ll be joining up with Lesley Jensen’s birthday!
There are a few options for starting point, so please choose accordingly.
We’ll be riding out to Point Reyes Lighthouse starting in either Las Galinas at the Park & Ride at Smith Ranch and Lucas Valley at 8:30am sharp or in Nicasio at Rancho Nicasio where Lesley is starting from at 9:30am sharp.
Each route will be going out to the lighthouse via Point Reyes Station and return to the starting point via Olema and Platform Bridge. From Las Galinas, the route is ~85 miles with ~5800 ft of climbing and from Nicasio it is ~62 miles with ~4500 ft of climbing. Regroups will be called out along the way. Ride pace for A group will be 16-18 mph average with faster bursts on some sections and for B group will be 14-16 mph average and C group will be 13-15 mph and you should be comfortable with group riding and have read and be familiar the BBC Group Ride Guidelines. Ride leaders will be KC (A) and Morgan Griffin (B) and TBD (C) this week.
NOTE: THERE MAY NOT BE A C GROUP DEPARTING FROM LAS GALINAS TO ENSURE EVERYONE MEETS UP ON TIME IN NICASIO.

Non-members are welcome to join up to three official Berkeley Bike Club rides, but must agree to our waiver before each ride. After three rides, we ask that you join the club to continue attending rides (hopefully it’s an easy decision!).
