Non-members are welcome to join up to three official Berkeley Bike Club rides, but must agree to our waiver before each ride. After three rides, we ask that you join the club to continue attending rides (hopefully it’s an easy decision!).
What: This week we’ll be riding an Olema to Bofax loop by heading out over the RSR Bridge heading through Larkspur to Fairfax then taking Sir Francis Drake out to Olema before turning south on Hwy 1 to Bofax. We’ll then climb up and over down to Alpine Dam before climbing out to Fairfax and back through San Rafael before heading back across the RSR. Coffee stop will be at Due West Tavern in Olema at mile 30! From Point Richmond, the route is ~67 miles with ~5000 ft of climbing. We’ll regroup most likely at Greenbrae/Kentfield bathrooms, Olema, Alpine Dam, and Fairfax. Ride pace for A group will be 15-17 mph average with faster bursts on some sections, for B group will be 13-15 mph average, and C group will be 12-14 mph average. You should be comfortable with group riding and have read and be familiar the BBC Group Ride Guidelines. Ride leaders will be Morgan Griffin (A) and KC (B) and TBD ()this week.
