Masters Update: 60+/65+ Fields Will Be Separate from 50+ 1/2/3 at BHRR
We’re excited to share some great news for our Masters 60+/65+ riders.
For this year’s Berkeley Hills Road Race (BHRR), we’ll be able to separate the 60+/65+ field from the 50+ field.
Why This Matters
We’ve heard the feedback, and we know how important it is to have fair, competitive, and safe racing across age groups. Separating the 60+/65+ riders from the 50+ field allows for:
More competitive racing within each age group
Safer race dynamics with more consistent pacing
A better overall experience for everyone on the start line
Community Effort
This wouldn’t be possible without the support of the community.
From riders speaking up to volunteers, officials, and organizers working behind the scenes. This is exactly what makes the Berkeley Omnium special. It’s a race built by the community for the community.
Help Us Make It Happen
To keep this structure and continue improving the race, pre-registration matters.
Stronger prereg numbers help us:
Plan better logistics
Justify field separation
Continue supporting our mission
And most importantly this event is 100% non-profit, with all proceeds going directly to support six local high school NICA teams.
The more riders we have, the more we can give back and help grow the next generation of cyclists.
See You on the Start Line
We’re looking forward to a great weekend of racing and can’t wait to see strong Masters fields out there.
