Keeping the Berkeley Omnium Strong for the Community

As we prepare for the 2026 Berkeley Omnium, we wanted to share a bit of transparency with our community.

Like many events, the cost of putting on the Berkeley Omnium has increased—permits, safety, logistics, and operations all continue to rise year over year. Despite this, our goal remains the same: to keep racing accessible while continuing to give back to the community.

We’ve made a conscious decision not to pass these increased costs on to our riders. Instead, we’re doing everything we can behind the scenes to manage expenses, improve efficiency, and continue delivering a high-quality race experience.

Why? Because the Berkeley Omnium has always been about more than just racing.

We are proud to be a nonprofit event, where 100% of proceeds go directly to support six East Bay high school NICA teams. Every registration, every volunteer hour, and every bit of support helps grow the next generation of cyclists.

None of this would be possible without our incredible sponsors.

Your support allows us to:

  • Keep registration accessible

  • Maintain equal payout for men and women

  • Expand categories and opportunities for all riders

  • Continue giving back to local youth cycling programs

To our sponsors, thank you for believing in this mission and investing in the cycling community.

And to our riders, volunteers, and supporters—when you show up, you’re doing more than racing. You’re helping sustain a 70-year legacy and supporting the future of cycling.

We’re excited for what’s ahead and grateful to be building this together.
