Thank You for Showing Up: Berkeley Streets Race
Women’s 4/N
Thank you to everyone who came out to the 2026 Berkeley Streets Race.
Racers, volunteers, families, and supporters, you all brought the energy. From the first race to the last lap, the vibe was real. This wasn’t just racing. This was community.
The Vibe Was Different
Berkeley Streets Race always hits a little different.
Closed roads, tight corners, fast racing but also people hanging out, cheering, connecting. You could feel it all day. That mix of competition and community is what makes this event special.
283+ starts. Full fields. Constant action on course.
But more than anything, it was the energy around it.
Racing That Delivered
Every field showed up.
From novice riders getting their first taste of crit racing to experienced racers throwing down in fast, tactical battles. There was no shortage of effort out there.
Short accelerations, constant pressure, and no real rest. Classic Berkeley Streets.
This is the kind of racing that makes people come back.
The Next Generation — Kids Clinic & Race
Kid’s Race
One of the best parts of the day was the kids.
The kids clinic brought out a whole group of young riders learning skills, building confidence, and just having fun on bikes. You could see the excitement—it’s why we do this.
Then came the kids race—pure energy.
Big smiles, full effort, and a lot of proud parents on the sidelines. For many of them, it’s their first time on a race course. That matters.
This is how we grow the sport.
Volunteers Made It Happen
Let’s be clear—none of this happens without volunteers.
Course marshals, registration, setup, teardown, course control, results people showed up early and stayed all day to make this happen.
They’re the reason the race runs smoothly.
They’re the reason riders can focus on racing.
Volunteers are the backbone of Berkeley Omnium.
Built for Something Bigger
Berkeley Streets Race is part of the Berkeley Omnium and it’s all for something bigger.
This is a nonprofit event. Every dollar raised goes directly to six East Bay high school NICA teams.
So when you showed up—to race, to volunteer, or just to be there—you were supporting the next generation of cyclists.
Thank You
